It is with great sadness that we announce that WVI Founder and Veterinary Advisor Dr John Lewis has passed away.

We are all devastated to have lost a good friend and colleague.

Through his passion for the conservation of big cats he truly became a world leader in his field. His skill and dedication to conservation, including his expertise in field anaesthesia, was second to none. He inspired many and his passing is an unimaginable loss to wildlife veterinary medicine.
